Moving Parts transport Euripides' classical masterpiece the Bacchae from ancient Greece to a modern unstable state where war is counterbalanced by superfluous news, media and entertainment.

Pentheus, the young arrogant ruler of Thebes returns to find his land in ruins and his authority shaken by the half-God, half-man Dionysus. The deity has bewitched all the Theban women including the King's own mother Agaue.

Dionysus slowly executes his ruthless revenge on the country and ruler that refuse to recognise and respect his divinity and power. What follows is an astonishing, cautionary tale as Dionysus awakens Pentheus' salacious interest in the Bacchae which leads to the spectacular downfall of both himself and the kingdom.
